I read that HACKERS are unstoppable because they are using unsecured networks to hack?

June 15th, 2010
fredasita asked:

I read that the other day. If they are using unsecured wireless networks therefore can’t be located & can’t be cut. So what can we do to prevent that?
Crash you don’t UNDERSTAND. If they are using an unsecured wireless network “from” then the only person who is going to be located is the wireless router owner who is unsecured.
It does not matter what IP the attack comes from? Excuse me sir but it matters!! They will be automatically detected if they were doing their crappy things from home and using their own internet providers.

What is a peer to peer connection pertaining to wireless networks?

June 4th, 2010
fdmedic84 asked:

I have an intel wireless card with its own driver. When I connect to the internet wirelessly the windows icon(small computer with wireless bars) still appears in the bottom right corner. My question is 1) Why is the windows connection still active and 2) when aquiring an IP address it states peer to peer connection in the pop up. I want to know what peer to peer is and why it is active and how to disable it. Thanks

Mind you there was a similar question asked except they were running off the same device which obviously would not change a single thing.

I on the other hand am using two completely separate connections/devices into one pc. How possible is that?
